Waleed Aldolijan, a Saudi master student supervised by Prof. Bicheng Yan in the Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering (ErPE) program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), has successfully defended his master thesis titled “Adaptive dynamic well control optimization using deep-learning surrogates in heterogeneous oil reservoirs”. The defense committee include Prof. Hussein Hoteit (chair), Prof. Bicheng Yan (advisor), Prof. Maryam Alghannam.
