We are looking for highly motivated and competitive PhD or MS students to join DGYM Lab at KAUST with fully sponsored scholarship in 2027 Fall Semester.

Basic requirements:

  • GPA: >=3.5/4.0;
  • English language score: TOEFL iBT >= 5.0, all sections > 4.5; or IELTS >=7.0, all sections >= 6.5
  • Degrees in petroleum engineering, geological engineering, civil engineering, or applied mathematics;
  • Advanced communication skills;
  • Good team player.

Desired/Competitive qualifications (one or more of the following):

  • Strong background in reservoir simulation, digital rock physics, or geological modeling; numerical simulation methods such as finite difference, finite volume, finite element etc; machine learning; deep learning;
  • Strong programming skills, such as Python, Julia, Matlab, Fortran or C/C++;
  • Strong lab experience for fluid flow in porous media;
  • Demonstrated publication and presentation record.
