We are looking for highly motivated and competitive PhD or MS/PhD students to join DGYM Lab at KAUST with fully sponsored scholarship.

Basic requirements:

  • GPA: >=3.5/4.0;
  • English language score: TOEFL > 79, or IELTS >=6.5, this can be provided after the final interview;
  • Degrees in petroleum engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or applied mathematics;
  • Advanced communication skills;
  • Good team player.

Desired/Competitive qualifications (one or more of the following):

  • Strong background in reservoir simulation; numerical simulation methods such as finite difference, finite volume, finite element etc; machine learning; deep learning;
  • Strong programming skills, such as Python, Julia, Matlab, Fortran or C/C++;
  • Strong lab experience for fluid flow in porous media;
  • Demonstrated publication and presentation record.
