Prof. Bicheng Yan, PI of the Deep Geo-Energy & Engineering Modeling (DGYM) Lab at KAUST, has been honored with the 2026 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Regional Data Science and Engineering Analytics Award for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region, as annouced by the Society of Petroleum Engineer.

The prestigious award recognizes outstanding professional contributions to data science and engineering analytics at the regional level. Prof. Yan credits the honor to the sustained efforts of the entire DGYM team in developing cutting-edge data analytics solutions, building strong industry collaborations, and raising the group's visibility within the international community.
