With the invitation of Prof. Bicheng Yan, Prof. Deepak Devegowda from the University of Oklahoma visited KAUST and shared a technical seminar. His talk is titled “Describing Enhanced Oil Recovery in Shales Using Molecular Dynamics and Experimental Observations”, highlighting how molecular dynamics simulations, combined with laboratory data, enhance our understanding of fluid behavior and improve oil recovery in unconventional shale reservoirs. The seminar sparked excellent discussions on nanoscale fluid–rock interactions, MD modeling, and the future of unconventional reservoir research.
