We are pleased to announce that Billal Aslam, a Ph.D. candidate in the DGYM research group, has received the 2025 Physical Science and Engineering (PSE) Dean’s Award representing ERPE program at KAUST.

The award recognizes students for excellent academic performance, research publications, service to the university, and other achievements. Billal is supervised and mentored by Professor Bicheng Yan and has mainly worked on reduced-order and surrogate models. His research with the team has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

In addition to his academic work, Billal has served as President of the KAUST SPE Student Chapter, helping organize events and support student involvement in the energy and petroleum engineering community.

The DGYM group congratulates Billal on this recognition and wishes him continued success in his research.
