At the PSE Annual Research Expo 2024, held on October 29, the Deep Geo-energy & Engineering Modeling (DGYM) Lab, represented by PhD student Haotian Li, presented a poster overview of their innovative work in geo-energy. The poster session highlighted the lab's research in geothermal reservoir simulation, rock permeability characterization, and underground hydrogen storage.
Haotian Li shared insights into how the lab uses deep learning and physics-based models to address complex subsurface energy challenges. These technologies have the potential to transform the way we approach sustainable energy solutions.
Alongside Haotian, DGYM team members Zhilei Han, Billal Aslam, and Huseyn Yusifov were present to engage with attendees, providing valuable discussions on the lab's collaborative approach to advancing geo-energy technologies. The event fostered meaningful exchanges, reinforcing the lab's commitment to driving innovation in sustainable energy.
The successful presentation underscored the DGYM Lab’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the development of next-generation solutions in geo-energy, aligning with KAUST’s broader mission to tackle global energy challenges.
