ADIPEC 2023 was held between 2 - 5^th October 2023 in Abu Dhabi UAE. Dr. Zeeshan Tariq represented DGYM and KAUST by presenting the paper on the A Deep Learning Framework to Forecast Spatial-Temporal Dynamics of CO₂ Mineralization in Reactive Rocks. The research's primary objective was to develop an efficient predictive model capable of forecasting changes in CO₂ mineralization over both time and space. By leveraging deep learning, this innovative framework demonstrated unparalleled efficiency compared to conventional physics-based simulations. Moreover, the presentation showcased the potential for a transformative shift in how we understand and approach CO₂ mineralization dynamics, offering a promising pathway for sustainable solutions in environmental conservation within the petroleum engineering domain.
